Angels Begin Six Game Roadtrip

by @ 7:03 pm. Filed under 2008 Angels

The Angels begin their road trip in Kansas City, facing the Royals with a 5:10pm start.

Ervin Santana will look to add to his perfect 5-0 record. A win on Monday will make his win total just one game less than his total from the entire season last year. Santana has five career starts against KC, posting a 1-2 record with a 6.04 ERA. The Royals will start Brett Tomko, who has been roughed up for a 6.26 ERA and just one win this season.

Dustin Moseley won’t be available, he was placed on the 15-day DL for stiffness in his forearm. The Angels recalled second baseman Sean Rodriguez to take Moseley’s spot. Rodriguez has just one MLB game in his career, this past April 19, and went 1 for 4 in place of the injured Howie Kendrick. Kendrick should be making his rehab start soon with Rancho Cucamongo, after being out since April 18.
