Angels Look to Make It Two Straight

by @ 10:17 am. Filed under 2008 Angels

The Angels look for their second win against the A’s in tonight’s 7:05 game.

Ervin Santana looks to join the 5-0 club along with Joe Saunders, who acheived that last night. Santana is 7-1 lifetime against the A’s with a 1.38 ERA. The A’s will throw lefty Dana Eveland, who is 2-1 on the season.

Santana’s and Saunder’s perfect records are the first in franchise history for two or more pitchers going 4-0 for the month of April. A Santana win would bring him to 5-0 to tie Saunders and Chien-Ming Wang for the most AL victories. An Angels win would also give them sole possession of first place, they are tied with the A’s as of now.
