Angels Shoot for Six Straight

by @ 9:33 am. Filed under 2008 Angels, Angels Season Lookbacks

The Angels have sealed the series win, but go for their second consecutive sweep tonight at 4:10.

Ervin Santana takes the mound to go for his tenth win. He is coming off a win in Philly where he struck out nine and yielding just two hits and an unearned run for the win. He will face Tim Redding, who is 6-3 with a 4.12 ERA. Redding is winless since May 19th and is making his first career appearance against the Angels.

With a win, the Angels will move to 6-0 on the roadtrip as they head back to LA this weekend, but visit Dodger Stadium for the final Interleague series of the season.

Kelvim Escobar is also scheduled to throw two innings for the Angel’s team in the Arizona Summer League. This will be his first time in an actual game after throwing simulated games on June 17 and June 21.
