John Lackey had his second rehab start with Class A Rancho Cucamongo. He pitched three innings, giving up one run and one hit, before being forced to finish his workout in the bullpen due to a power outage. Lackey is still on pace to return at the end of May.
On Tuesday, Mike Scioscia announced that Lackey’s fifth starter replacement, Dustin Moseley, will remain in the bullpen as a reliever. Moseley posted a 1-2 record with a 6.75 ERA in his five starts. His move to the bullpen will prompt a Minor League callup for a starter for Thursday’s game against the A’s. Triple-A right handers Nick Green or Nick Adenhart will likely get the nod.
